What MLM Big Shots Have That You Don't

Author: Shawn Cornett

Every company has them, the people that shoot straight up the ranks in no time. They seemingly do it without effort. In many cases, these people came in from another MLM company and were successful there too. And before that they were in another MLM and were successful there as well.

Why is it that some people can go from one MLM to another and continuously make big money? All too often people believe the reason is their loyal group of followers (lemmings if you will) that follow them around from deal to deal and catapult them to the top without any effort of their own. I'm sure we've all had that belief at one time or another.

What's wrong with that thinking?

The one primary problem is that at one point in time EVERYONE was new to MLM. Every big shot had to earn their wings. Nobody gets a free ride in MLM, nobody.

Now, there is no denying that after having succeeded in MLM once it is much easier to do again. I can personally tell you this is quite true, but the reason behind this truth is much different than what most people think.

Previous MLM success probably does mean that you can switch deals and bring some people with you. But every time you make a move you WILL loose a good chunk of credibility AND the majority of your distributor/customer base that fueled your previous bonus checks.

So... what does make the difference?

As most truth is, it's not what you WANT to hear, but it's what you NEED to hear. The difference is massive action backed by unwaivering belief. BOTH ingredients are necessary. Let's put this into perspective.

What if you know, that you know, that you KNOW that within 6 months you would be making 5-figures a month in your MLM opportunity? How much differently would you approach your business? Would you be afraid to talk to anybody? Would it be easier to make some sacrifices? Do you think your words would have more conviction? Do you think that you might have the ability to connect and land some of the people that are currently telling you no?

One thing I can tell you without doubt is that big hitters in MLM know that they know and they are not afraid to let people know about it. They don't stick their toe in the water to test the temperature. They may take some time before jumping in but when they do it is an all out massive blitz. You can see the fire and conviction in their eye and prospects that would have "flaked out" on a normal distributor find themselves drawn to and signing up with the person that has the fire behind their voice.

You see in the final analysis it is not the people that big hitters bring with them it's the belief they bring with them. And just to clarify I'm not talking about belief in the company or products - everyone has that or they would not have signed up. But not everybody believes in themselves. People want to be a part of something, they want a leader with conviction, they want to know that they are going to be a part of a winning team.

Most people are just not willing to put their credibility on the line and risk the perceived mockery of falling short of goals publicly affirmed. But big hitters are not afraid... why? Because they've already done it before and they know that they know that they know they can do it again.

Draw the line in the sand, step over it and don't look back. Success cannot come without risking failure.
