Does the constitution address the rights of a citizenry to the point of gay and lesbian marriage? Some believe it does. Others believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. Still others believe that the pursuit of happiness actually seem to be obvious enough an issue to allow such.

But whatever the cause there is the current political powers that be and the Christian Right too. Very powerful and huge voting block and so it is obviously going to be a while yet still before the gay and lesbian community get their way on this very serious issue. However as I follow trends on an online think tank I run there is an 8% synergy which is pro-gay agenda with about 2.5% to 3.5% of the population actually gay [admitted] and about another 1-2% which is not saying but obviously out there.

The Gay and Lesbian Community will therefore get their wish, although the confrontational and intenseness being witnessed is too much for the trend to have any short-term power play to push it thru. But in another 3-5 years you might be surprised how well things are moving along for gay and lesbian groups. And in 10-years they will have not a majority of the voters but enough to get this thru and enough who have run out of reality based arguments to hold it up. Then it will simply change in their favor.

Suffice it to say that humans are indeed silly little animals and if you see it in that regard perhaps if you are a homosexual then this will not affect your normally very positive attitude.
