Chances are that you are not a search engine optimization specialist if you are just starting out as an internet marketer. If you are a seasoned internet marketer then maybe you know more about seo but you do not know everything. Nobody knows everything. If you knew everything then you would be a millionaire and Google would have to come to your home and kidnap you just so they could probe your brain and figure out why you know everything.
Search engines keep changing. Have you heard that before? I have heard it over and over again and it makes me think. If search engines keep changing that how come when you look at very competitive key words, the same basic website are always at the top. This is because there are some things that just never change.
Every so often, Google and Yahoo will come out with some new algorithmic system to index only the sites with 7000 pages of real quality content in the top 10, but other then that, there is nothing that they do. They try to get the best sites to the top. Create quality content and you know what will happen? Your site will be rewarded with the sweet top place in some kind of search engine.
If you target a low competition key word with moderate search traffic you will definitely reach the top. This is what I like to call the golden nugget. You have to search through hundreds of key phrases that people actually place into the search bar until you find that perfect word or phrase with the top site having no knowledge of SEO at all. You can tell that these people are not search engine optimization specialists. You are not a search engine optimization specialist but you know more then that guy who owns that site with the pretty pictures and moderately nice content. You can surely beat him in a short period.
Page rank is a godsend. You may think that I am crazy to say that but I think you are crazy to listen to an "SEO expert" who says that PR is garbage that Google uses to rank sites based on back links. Newsflash, these are your keys to the top of a search engine and having a higher PR shows that you have some kind of links to your site. Page rank means many different things that get very complex but for the most part it is not bad. The main reason is that people love to raise there PR and your high PR site is a perfect place to sell ad space to these people.
I have a lot to learn about SEO. I read the latest news and I discuss it with my colleagues to see if it is true. I practice what I preach and I make sure that everyone who reads what I write does the same.
In by blog, I write about everything I know about SEO, Blogging and other internet marketing strategies. Blogs are a great SEO tool and they should be used by anyone who works online. They are good for SE's and they are easy to update.
